Rheem
As of January 1, 2023, the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) minimum energy efficiency requirements go into effect for all newly manufactured residential and commercial air conditioners and heat pumps. This will mark the second efficiency increase in HVAC equipment in the last five years.
The new DOE standards will increase the minimum efficiency of residential equipment approximately 7%, or the equivalent of 1 SEER point and .6 HSPF for most equipment.
Most of the 2022 models for all manufacturers have already been discontinued and the new equipment will be added that will comply with the new D.O.E regulations and requirements.
Please call us for price and availability for equipment in your area that is being installed before or after January 2023.
